The company Cederbos was founded by Corné van der Westhuizen, following the footprints of his dad, Dr Frans van der Westhuizen, who owns the first certified organic rooibos tea farm in South Africa.
Working in the rooibos fields and at the processing facility with his dad, Corné learnt from a young age that during the natural fermentation process the bees are attracted to the rooibos leaves that are rich in colour and aroma. The bee became the emblem of Cederbos to symbolise our work ethics based on sustainability and respect of nature. Cederbos strives to select the highest quality rooibos leaves for its rooibos tea blends and the Cederbos team follows the guidance of the bees when harvesting the rooibos leaves for packaging.
Made in South Africa and of single origin, our organic rooibos grows at the foot of the majestic Cederberg Mountains in the Western Cape. Our rooibos is GMO-free, pesticides-free, and herbicides-free.
Cederbos uses tea bags that are biodegradable, unbleached and plastic-free.
In our effort to preserve our environment, for every tree that is cut down to produce our tea boxes a tree is planted in replacement.
The Cederbos organic rooibos tea blends are naturally caffeine-free and rich in antioxidants, free of artificial additives and sweeteners, and can be enjoyed at any time of the day by adults and children.
The entire family can enjoy this refreshing sugar-free tea hot or iced, and savour the marriage of flavours.
The Cederbos Rooibos tea range includes natural tea as well as a variety of flavoured teas including Chocolate & Orange, Vanilla & Almond, Honey & Lemon, Maple & Walnut, and more.
Our customers’ needs are our number one priority, that’s why we’ve put all the necessary measures in place to ensure that we comply with international accredited food safety standards. Our organic rooibos teas are 100% organic, certified by European and US agencies.
